Our Story

Motion was born out of a gap I couldn’t ignore.

While working at Estée Lauder, I was training for a marathon in the mountains when I realized something: none of the brands I worked on, bought, or trusted spoke to people like me—athletes.

I was spending hours in the sun, sweating, and washing my face two or three times a day. Even though we over-index on skin stress, athletes weren’t part of the beauty conversation.

This wasn’t just a market idea—it was a lived experience.

So I created Motion: a skincare brand built on solid fundamentals, designed for athletes, and developed with our skin challenges and lifestyles in mind.

Born in Japan, developed across Japan and Korea, and rooted in global perspective, Motion supports people who live in motion—with products that perform under pressure, and a philosophy grounded in effort and progress.

Our founder is an Italian national who grew up in the U.S., spent 15 years living in Asia, and is raising a family of mixed-Japanese children. Our identity is cross-cultural, global, and deeply personal. That experience shapes everything we do—from how we think about skin, to how we develop products.

We know that beauty looks different across cultures, climates, skin types, and lifestyles. That’s why Motion is built to perform across skin tones, skin types, and environments—whether you're training in Tokyo, running in L.A., or sweating through daily life.
